Stations/Centers In The Middle School Classroom

I received many questions by email, as well as Instagram regarding stations in my 7th grade classroom. First off, they really do work and the students love them!

Here's the answer to the big question that everyone has: "What does your station schedule look like and how do you have time to do this in 7th grade?!"

I use the Gradual Release Model when teaching my students.

Here's what my actual schedule looks like. CLICK HERE to get the PDF version with implementation notes!

This is how my classroom looks when I set up the stations the day before (Tuesday afternoon).

I use dry erase pouches and markers just  to make it fun and cut down on paper. Instead of making a copy for all 112 students I only need maybe 5-6. I also try to use colored paper because white paper is boring! Put something on colored paper and it's automatically more fun...at least in my opinion.

Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
